The creamy garlic sauce matched with slow-cooked potatoes is a must-try recipe for all!
300ml | milk |
300ml | double cream |
4 | maris piper potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced |
40g | cheese |
2 | garlic cloves, finely crushed |
1. Pre-heat oven to 190C/gas mark 5
2. Combine milk, double cream and garlic cloves into a saucepan and simmer on a low heat ensuring not to burn
3. Add potatoes to the cream mix and cook for 4 minutes
4. Gently stir to stop potato sinking
5. Remove potatoes and layer evenly into an ovenproof dish
6. Pour 3/4 of the garlic cream over potatoes, allowing it to seep through the layers
7. Sprinkle grated cheese on top
8. Bake for 30 minutes, until potatoes are browned
9. Serve and enjoy!
