Our first Community Kitchen opened in Manchester in July this year. We offer a ‘Buy One, Give One’ menu of healthy dishes from Tuesday-Saturday (9am-3pm). This allows us to provide our partner foodbanks and sheltered accommodation sites with nutritious meals five days a week. We also stock products from other B-corps and social enterprises, such as Half the Story UK and LemonAid.
Events are a big part of our Community Kitchens. Since launching, we have hosted everything from a free Toastie Party to a fine-dining Tasting Menu Experience! You can find all of our upcoming events on our Eventbrite page. We are also always looking for volunteers to help us out – sign up here.
As well as donating meals, we aim to offer longer-term support. In the near future, we hope to use our Community Kitchen spaces to provide training and work experience opportunities for beneficiaries of our local partner VCSE organisations. For more information about partnering with us,
Having established our first site in Manchester, we are hoping to bring our Community Kitchens to new locations across the UK in 2024. This is part of our aim to tackle food poverty at the national level.
