This easy pasta sauce is a real home comfort, and can be made with just a few ingredients.
350g |
mushrooms, chopped |

garlic cloves, crushed |
1 |
brown onion, sliced |
500g |
pasta or spaghetti |
75ml |
double cream |
2 tsps |
dried oregano |
1 tbsp |
olive oil |
parsley, handful |

salt and pepper, to taste |
1. Take pan and place it over a medium heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, begin to cook the onions.
2. Once the onions have begun to soften, add the mushrooms and cook until done all the way through.
3. Place a second pan filled with boiling water over a medium heat and begin to cook the pasta, this will take approx. 10 minutes.
4. In the meantime, add the garlic and oregano to the mushrooms and cook for two minutes.
5. Next add the cream and parsley, mixing through evenly and cook until warmed through.
6. Finally, once cooked strain the pasta and mix into the sauce then serve.
Add a little balsamic vinegar or Worcestershire sauce in with the mushrooms for extra flavour. This sauce can also double up as a nice topping on bread as lunch or breakfast
