Let’s Fight Food Poverty Across the UK!
Our #HelpUsGrow Crowdfunding Campaign is officially live! This campaign is be vitally important to the next phase of our mission, which involves establishing Bounceback Food teams in 20 cities across the UK.
Who Are We?
Bounceback Food CIC is a non-profit that fights food poverty on multiple fronts. We support people by providing donations to food banks, holding cookery classes and creating lifelong learning resources.
Since we began in 2014, we have taught 2,500+ people how to cook, including stroke survivors, young carers, food bank beneficiaries and elderly people living in sheltered accommodation.
Through our outreach work, we have secured 10,000+ donations to food banks and generated almost 100,000 meals for people in need via our catering, community meal drives and workshops.
The crowdfunding campaign’s initial target to raise the funds needed to expand our range of Presents with a Purpose. These items will include a recipe calendar, tote bag and chopping board; adding these products to our online store will help us raise the funds needed for our outreach work.
Our Stretch Target
Once we’ve hit our initial target, our stretch target will allow us to raise funds that will go directly towards establishing our volunteer teams. The cities where we plan to develop these teams include Belfast, Birmingham, Bradford, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, Sunderland, Wakefield and York.
We’ve already been working with food banks in these locations with our 2021 Reverse Advent Calendar Campaign to help support communities in all of these areas. Currently, we are looking for volunteers in all of these locations in a variety of flexible roles. Interested? Find out more here.
As part of establishing a lasting impact, we’re also looking for Founding Corporate Partners in each of these locations who share our vision of fighting food poverty.
With your business’ backing, we could start to provide the training and equipment needed for the Bounceback team in your area to run market stalls and run campaigns to support local food banks. This would allow us to scale up our social impact much faster and support more people living in food poverty in your community. This team will provide free catering for the most vulnerable people and, eventually, they will run community cooking lessons to help people cook delicious, nutritious food. If your organisation could help support a Bounceback Team in your location, please email [email protected]!
