Reverse Advent Calendar – Day 1

Posted on

Since we released our reverse advent calendar campaign in November, we’ve been encouraging people to get involved and donate to their local food banks this winter. Throughout December, we will be releasing winter recipes and social enterprise recommendations to help you get into the Christmas spirit!

We’ll prompt you with an item to donate to your local food bank every day, and showcase an accompanying recipe. You can get creative in the kitchen whether you’re giving or receiving!

Today’s item is… long-grain rice!

We’d love it if today, you nipped to the supermarket, picked up some rice, and dropped it off at your local foodbank. You can find a map of foodbanks near you here.

And don’t forget to check out our tasty rice-based recipe of the day, egg-fried rice!
