A handy reminder of the guidelines!
According to the NHS EatWell guide, you should drink 6-8 glasses of water and other liquids (approx. 1.6 litres for a woman, 2 litres for a man) per day. Lower fat milk and sugar-free drinks including tea & coffee all count towards this target – but fruit juice and smoothies should be limited to 150ml per day.
When you consider that more than 65% of your body is water, it’s clear how important this is for your health and wellbeing! Staying well-hydrated is vital for our heart and circulation, for digestion and for our brain to function normally.
So remember to keep drinking water, little and often, throughout the day!
