Here's what the Bounceback Food team have been up to!

A man in a Bounceback apron is peeling a head of garlic, on a wooden chopping board.

We’ve been blown away by the response to our call for volunteers as we begin to establish Bounceback teams across the UK. Thank you to everyone who’s responded and completed an application form (check your junk folder if you’ve not yet heard back from us, this sometimes happens!) – it’s been exciting to deliver the initial training sessions and welcome new people to our Community Cookery School!

We continue to welcome applications for volunteers and are planning start dates and training for the next group in September 2022.

Social Enterprise Internship Update

Thank you to everyone who’s applied to take part in our 2022 Social Enterprise Internship programme. We’ve had a record number of applications and will be responding to people in the next couple of weeks. It’s heartwarming to know that so many people want to work in the VCSE sector and we’re trying to do our bit to support people with gaining experience! This will be the 5th year we’ve run the programme and we’re exploring ways to open the opportunity up to a greater number of people in 2023.

Growing our Community Cookery School

Finally, as we approach spring and summer, a huge thank you to everyone else supporting the development of our Community Cookery School. Whether you’ve taken part in one of our #buyonegiveone cookery classes, online cookalongs, donated food at our market events, backed our recent crowdfunder, bought copies of our fundraising cookbooks/merchandise in our online store, listened to our podcast or audiobook, told your friends/family about us…your support has been vital to the continued development of our social enterprise.
