Over the last few weeks our team has been working round the clock on ways in which we can provide support to as many people as possible living in food poverty both in the U.K and around the world during this crisis.
In keeping with the proactive way in which we’ve been fighting food poverty since 2014, our response includes:
Providing 5 million free licenses to our online Cooking & Nutrition Portal
Our Cooking & Nutrition Portal provides people with cooking tips, nutrition advice, an interactive meal planner, budgeting support and lots of recipes that we’ve developed over the years in our community cookery school. We will work with any charity fighting food poverty in the U.K. or the rest of the world that would like to provide free access to people they support. Email [email protected] for further information and to arrange a demo.
Donating all remaining stock to our foodbank drive
In light of the cancellation of all market events for the foreseeable future, we’ve started to donate all the rest of our stock (tinned food, soup, pasta, soap etc.) between the foodbanks we regularly support at market events in Manchester & Cheshire. This will take us over the 10,000 donated items milestone, not in the ‘buy one, give one’ way we expected, but in a manner that’s needed at this time.
Adapting our catering service to deliver meals door to door
In the holidays we usually batch cook food at events in Oldham where pupils on free school meals attend and get a hot, nutritious meal. Subject to confirmation, we’ll be batch cooking portions that will then be distributed door to door or stored safely at community venues for collection.
Launching free online cookery workshops
We’re adapting the way we deliver our pubic cookery courses so that people can join us in the safety and comfort of their own home. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to be the first to find out further details in the coming weeks…
In order to maintain our proactive fight against food poverty in the coming months we will need your support more than ever before!

Thank you for your continued support!
