Here's what the Bounceback Food team have been up to!

A huge, huge thank you to everyone who has supported our crowdfunding campaign over the last few weeks – over 15,000 meals have now been pledged!

By the end of of the first phase of fundraising we had raised over £63,000 which will make an enormous difference to those most impacted by the cost of living crisis. This wouldn’t have been possible without kind contributions by readers of this blog, listeners of our podcast, our followers on social media plus staff from Aviva and British Airways who have continued to get behind our campaign in large numbers with their respective employee giving programmes.

Generous pledges have also been made by a range of our corporate partners including UK General Insurance, Addleshaw Goddard LLP, Pensionhelp Ltd and C&C Insurance Brokers. Further support has come from the Mattioli Trust plus Smoke and Ash – our founding restaurant partners in Birmingham (more details will follow in the coming weeks!). We have been blown away by the collective generosity – thank you all so much.

Thanks to the pledges made our Community Cookery School teams have been busy cooking & distributing meals to vulnerable people in Manchester, Bradford, Birmingham, Sunderland, Newcastle, London and the South East. The fundraising campaign will now continue to run until the end of March 2023 as we scale up our meal drive operations to reach a greater number of people. We have now set ourselves an even bigger target of £100,000 which would more than double the number of meals we can distribute this winter and provide funding for community cookery workshops & learning programmes for our VCSE partners nationally in 2023.

If you would like to support our fundraising efforts as an individual or are considering a corporate pledge from the organisation you work for please visit our campaign page to make your contribution:
